O.K., I hate to do it, but I'm parting with some very cool stuff on ebay right now. There is also some music and audio equipment going up.
You can take a look at it here:
http://cgi6.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAP...sort=2&rows=25
This includes (but not limited to):
Bauer 715 XL-S Super 8 camera.
Super 8 Directors Viewfinder.
Nizo 6056 Super 8 camera with CRYSTAL SYNC.
Motion Picture Film Processor, for home-developing Super 8, 16mm and 35m.
Lowel DP Snoot
Kodak Super 8 presstapes for editing... and lots of other stuff.
I'll be continuing to put more stuff up all week or two, so keep checking back. (Gotta take the pictures, get developed, scan, etc.)
I'll have Hervic Splicers, some lighting gear for real cheap, projectors, and many other items.
Thanks!

Thanks for that, I've got it covered.
I do graphic design for a living.
I signed up with a staffing agency, which is great, because you can ask for time off between assignments (like to shoot a picture!), but unfortunately, things have been a little slow lately, so there was actually almost 5 weeks of down time!
(It happened only about 3 weeks after I got married too! Bad timing, eh?)
Soooo, the old savings is pretty much gone now, which means, I'm combing through everything I own, saying.. "hmmmm... is this edible?"
Bummer.
Such is life!

Sorry to hear that Matt. I have many friends who are freelance graphic designers and they are going through some trying times. A couple of them are filmmakers too. As far as your auctions: its just equipment. You can ALWAYS find more when you are stable again. Your gear will find a good productive home.

Yeah, the master plan is called eating!
I've been out of work for a month!
I'm not selling everything, I'm keeping enough to keep shooting (my little short project at the end of the month, for instance) but I'm awash in gear, and short on cash, so something has to go!

so what type of work supports your filmmaking habit?
Maybe someone on the board has a lead.

Yeah, I figure I can always get stuff later, when I can afford it.
I'm still going to have 4 Super 8 cameras!!!
I just started looking around, and I've got stuff I really haven't been using, and other stuff that I can really make do with smaller stuff I have.
Like, I have two mixers, and I can do with one, so I'm going to sell it. (Mackie 1604, if anyone's interested. I still have to get pictures, etc.).
I just went mad the last two years buying stuff, so I have grip equipment that I don't need, etc.
(If I could just sell more copies of Lost Tribes, I'd be smokin! Damn!)
Everything will be fine, thanks.

Scott S. told me he was going to order one off of e-bay, without any prodding!
(don't make me look bad Scott)
